ADLiB Information Systems


ADLiB Information Systems are widely used in the United Kingdom and Europe. ADLiB has three products for museum catalogues - Basis, Standard, and Plus. Collection (Vernon Systems)

Collections Mosaic Plus


Collections MOSAIC Plus is designed for use by museums, historical societies, galleries, libraries and cultural heritage organizations that have historical collections. These collections are usually a combination of objects, photographs, documents, books, archives and artworks with data from associated historical research. The system is also suitable for private collections and single collection types. MOSAIC Plus has a direct export mechanism for non-sensitive data to AMOL. The system is available in three versions - Standard User, Professional User and SQL Server.

DB/Textworks Museum Package


DB/Textworks Museum Package was jointly developed by Maxus (formerly called Triad) and Museums Australia Inc (Victoria) and caters to the needs of small museums. KE Emu is an electronic museum management system for very large collections. It has an object-oriented multi-discipline catalogue that can be customised and covers all museum collection areas. It also has several collection management features.

Queensland Museum Accessioning Resource Kit for Small Museums


This kit has a series of collection management tools for small museums. These include an Historical Classification Scheme, based on the West Australian Museum Scheme and significantly expanded; an Accessioning Procedures Manual with a detailed guide to accessioning that may also be used with a non-electronic system; and the Queensland Museum Historical Database which has full multimedia capabilities, provision for photos, books, natural history specimens, numismatics & anthropology material, an inbuilt classification scheme, standardized materials, inscriptions and country of origin lists and reporting functions. Training is also available.
